The work From Home Saga - Poetry

 The work From Home Saga

The Sun rose, the Sun Set!

The Rain came, the rain went,

The wind blew, the wind slept

But I never came to know

What day and which night

I was working from home!

The Office then, the Office now,

The Boss then is UnBossed now,

My Desk at office, the teapoy at home.

My favorite cafeteria corner, where the laughter ringed

Now the multifunction dining where I search space to eat!

My child was afraid peeping out of window,

Hey, you eat! her mother said, Or Corona will come!

I am too afraid, from one corner of the house,

There lies the weight machine

My weight then, my weight now!

And the waist size which I never measure.

The man found in his best shape,

The cares of the day at its great as it may

Office-Office at home which I play.

Swipe me! the cry I can hear,

The ID card which I don’t wear.

The pressed formal is for the cupboard

My bike forgot to be on the road

I miss the mock fire drill during client call,

The toiling at home which now never stall

Day and night I work from home!

I thought I am lucky I have work from home

The Covid still crawled and came

I wore mask at home, still I suffered but Why

When I think its Over, it never! But Why

My eyes cry for those who have died

Thank the doctors saving lives without shy!

I empathize!

The workers walked till the heel cracked

Authorities keep the voices snapped

The political blame game is crazy but scary

Stay united and together we will be happy!
