MY
NAME, MY IDENTITY AND MY STORY
Hi, I am Swetha. ‘My name
is my identity’ is my belief. I ask this question to myself whenever I write my
name.
“Did I really give identity to my name?”
Okies let
me begin my story. I am a normal girl grown into a woman now. This is the first
time I pulled my courage to pen down my thoughts.
There are
so many people I have to show my gratification in this course of life and so
many times I haven’t. Sometimes forgotten, sometimes taken for granted,
sometimes realised later. This is my first writing and let me take the opportunity
to show my gratification to the first persons in my life. MY MOTHER and MY
FATHER who brought me to this world.
My mother “Jayalakshmi” is pillar of my strength.
She is not educated but courageous to make her way in this world of literate
arrogance. She is not a feminist and only know that the world is her family.
She is a hard worker. There were many time the family had to depend on her in difficulty
for food, for education and many other. There were times when my father had to
go through tough times but she stood as rock pillar to support him.
Since I attained
my education, I sometimes felt why my mother was so ignorant. Why was she supporting
my father? My father, because of his
incapability in his business brought us all into financial crisis. Nevertheless,
as I grew, I understood that she was the reason we still are a family. She was
the reason who held us together, protected us and bonded us. Even though, we had lots of crisis I
learned to laugh through it. I learned to face it.
My father “Gopal” is otherwise such a lovable person
who was feeling guilty for the financial losses he caused unknowingly or by
wrong calculation. What happened is cannot be changed. However, he gathered
courage and continued to move with his life for the sake of the family with a
question What Next? This is the attitude,
I learned from him. He shaped my
attitude to be courageous at the face of adversity and ask myself “What Next?”
Dear
friends, every incident in our life and every person in our life teaches us
life a lesson and we will learn when right time arrives and required. Let us be
always grateful to what we have and show our gratitude to our parents in
shaping our life.
“Did I
really give identity to my name?” Yes, Swetha is identified as courageous women
who carries smile even during tough times and asks life What Next? Like
hundreds of women there.
Thanks for
reading my life journey and I hope there is some learning for you.

ReplyDeleteYes, you started revealing your thoughts. It's in a proper way. Good in narrating. Keep on writing. Spell out the memories and feelings. When we start talking to ourselves we can be frank enough! That will be an interesting experience in our life.
