A Day Named After MenFolks
It was in the evening
I was very tired after the Day's work,
Just returned home from office,
Relaxing for a while closing my iris.
My son was reading his daily routine,
In a corner table looking bit keen.
Suddenly he rushed to his mummy
Asked her "Do you know Mummy"!
"What all days we celebrate in a year?"
She gently nodded and told him,
"I do know, but I would like to
hear from you my kid"
My son started telling the days
we celebrate one by one in rows
'A Day for the Aged'
A Day for the Martyrs'
A Day for the Women'
A Day for the Children'
A Day for the Workers'
A Day for the Teachers'
And so on.....
Something struck him and he asked
"But, Mummy why don't we celebrate
A day for the MenFolk!
A good question indeed she praised,
Told him 'we do celebrate' son
1st day of the April as men's day!
To this all along with my cursory ear,
Now my eyes opened astonished
To see her wink at me
How clever these women are
We were be-fooled always from
Time immemorial by these women folk.
It was a curse the day when
EVE be-fooled ADAM for sake of
A fruit and claimed to be
Weaker section in a fool's kingdom!
